Strange Ways People Get To The Website #1

A few times a week, I check out my stats and see how people are getting to the website. I like to see who is coming to the website, how they’re getting here, what other websites they’re coming from and what they’re typing into search engines like Google before winding up here. The majority are Diablo 3 build related but not all of them.

I’d like to share with you some of the real, unedited search engine phrases that people typed into Google (during the month of April 2012) which resulted in them coming to the website as I’d like to answer their questions. If you enjoy this, let me know and I’ll make it a monthly feature for the website.

It looks like gamer girls were hot on the minds of many gamers this month. Some phrases included:

“any girls going to be playing diablo 3” – More than likely.
“girls that play diablo 3” – I’m sure some were in the beta and even more will play come release.
“do girls play diable iii” – I’d hazard a guess that yes, girls do and will play Diablo 3.
“how many girls play diablo” – That’s a tough one but I’d estimate between 5-10. My numbers could be off though.

Some people were also quite frustrated at their lack of ability to play the beta which resulted in searches such as:

“give me diablo 3 beta key or the unicorns will die” – Here, take 2!
“if you change the date on your computer will you be able to install diablo 3?” – No but good on you for clever thinking.

Some other searchers appear confused or mean!

“diablo 3 mage guide” – Sorry, there is no mage class in Diablo 3. Perhaps you meant the Wizard.
“diablo 3 you have no friends” – You’re probably right.

There were also people who searched for something unrelated to Diablo 3 yet somehow ended up on the website. I’m not even going to attempt to answer queries about “animal control costume” or “panda memes“.
