As many people around the world wait for the most anticipated game of 2012 or even the decade (in my opinion) sitting at their computer searching for anything that will tell them how much longer they must wait, and finding “soon™” is driving people crazy with excitement.
Just watching the tweets using hash tag #DiabloBeta shows how many Diablo fans would love to get into the Diablo 3 Beta. Now if you’re one of the million fans that hasn’t received a Diablo 3 beta, you still may get a chance to demo the game before coughing up $59.99. Bashiok recently posted a blue that there will possibly be a Diablo 3 Demo.
We’ll probably make a trial edition at some point. It’s sort of a demo I suppose, but it’s a bit better because it’s essentially the full game just with locks put on certain areas. So you’d be able to jump into multiplayer games with your friends, but maybe you wouldn’t be able to play beyond a certain place and wouldn’t have access to all the game systems (certainly not auction houses) but if you choose to buy the game all that stuff just unlocks.
I personally would not even bother demoing the game because I have the game already pre ordered and wouldn’t want to wait a second longer to get into the full game. But the casual gamer that hasn’t been following the Diablo series very closely, yes there is some people that don’t follow D3 and its predecessors like we do.
By Blizzard releasing a Diablo 3 demo it will give some of these players a chance to test out that Wizard or Witch Doctor with their friends. Tell us below in the comments or in our diablo 3 builds forum if you’re the kind of player that wants to test the demo out before you buy D3 or do you want to just get into the full game without locked areas.

Well, I, too, have the game on Pre-Order but I would still love a demo if it came out prior to the release date!!!!
I seriously hope it works on OS Lion, since I have to use the Boot Camp to convert my stem to Windows 7 in order to play D2 LOD!
I really, really hope they put a demo out for it! I’m a little unsure whether my current computer is able to run.. And you can never really trust the minimum requirements in my opinion. So before coughing up the cash, I’d just like to test if I can run it
