Combines Ballistics rocket skills with a Rapid Fire / Marked for Death combo. Mortal Enemy generates 3 hatred for each attack, and Rapid Fire shoots quickly. Put down a Turret, Caltrops, get max hatred and then Rapid Fire until you’re empty (or Cluster Arrow for big packs).

An attempt to try to tank with DH. Use Fan of Knives when it’s up, Spike Trap when it’s not, and Caltrops in between to keep Numbing Traps debuff up. Guardian Turret for DR boost. Chakram for free close range AOE damage. Make sure to use a one-handed crossbow with a shield!

Ideal stat bonuses for handbows: dex, att speed+, damage+, crit chance, crit dam, hatred regen, max disc. Frost arrows provide AOE CC with good damage enhanced by Cull of the Weak, Archery, Steady Aim, and Mark. Keep your distance and unload with Smoke Screen and Prep. Bat and Mark for hatred regen.

Designed for survivability and damage in Nightmare difficulty solo. Survivability is acheived with nearly limitless kiting capabilities. High damage and massive amount of AOE is achieved with Evasive Fire, Multishot and Frost Arrow. Evasive fire is primary and generates hatred better than most.

caltrop roots provide time to get distance, vault for wallers/vortex ect. MFD gives extra damage and hatred and smoke screen gets you out of tough situations with reduced cost to ensure you have enough discipline. Entangling shot for slowing effects when you can’t caltrop. NT for strong cleave.

Basically I designed this build to be able to “SPRAY” the target with a ridiculous amount of Rapid Fire. It’s pretty streamlined in the damage, but has several survival skills. It is basically for fast moving kiting, killing with Rapid Fire, and using the 8 hatred per grenade throw for resource.

Build I keep going back to, at least through Nightmare. Get at range, stay there and blast stuff in the face.

passive skills allow for +35% damage bonus if you slow an enemy and keep distance which you will if you use this method. You get a tanking companion and a sentry should be laid before any battle. Critical damage is also amazing. With this skill set you deal insane damage but must avoid all enemies.

Evade will never get you hit and the flip cost is VERY cheap compared to Vault, Impale for bossing, Smoke Screen for bossing and for sticky situations, Multishot very powerful and cheap with Fire at Will Rune(165%X2). Use steady aim since ur gonna flip alot, archery for Critical and 3rd is ur choice

So basically multishot restores discipline in small increments, smoke screen when enemies get close. Shrukin cloud protects you at close range. bat regenerates hatred faster. pop prep if you run out of disc. Smoke screen is essential in harder difficulties cuz ull get one shotted. Kite Kite Kite!!

Before: Crossbow and 45 discipline are nice to have for this build:
The passives are variable.
Use elemental arrow with NT to make damage. The smoke screen with tactical advantage is nice to run away. It works in inferno good.
With evasive fire you´re able to shoot while escpaing.

Great build for Mobs and Bosses alike. The Caltrops with the Marked for Death work very well together. I chose Vault over smokescreen because I can get away faster with that. The 2 attack choices work well together and do a lot of damage.

this build works. just remember to use ss to run away, not as a tanky skill. Battle scars for life, Bat companion for hatred regen, IMpale (GW) is good with sharpshooter. nether tentacles great for AoE. Bola takes an extra sec., but if you stutter step you should be able to compensate.

Point of this build is ability to tank elites/mobs for a prolonged time. You can cast gloom several times, which grants you big life leech in combo with NT and 65% damage reduced from enemies. As well preparation will restore your life and discipline so you can use gloom again.
TA for runaway.

You are going to want to spam 1 and 2 as well as throw in a random 4 here and there. The idea with having stampede is to keep everything out of your facebones. So use that when you are being swarmed. Its a sexy build and has brought me good times!

This is the build i have been using for quite some time. It has worked well so far (level 45 atm) and i kill the mobs before i take damage

Extremely high damage, most effective in a party with at least one tank or numerous witch doctors. Heavy emphasis on maximizing critical attacks and grenades. Best used with two-handed crossbows in order to maximize effect of Archery. Survival depends on timely use of Vault and Rain of Vengeance

It’s the build that took me through Nightmare mode thats for sure, basically using caltrops and vault for juking and damage, fan of knives for max damage (and aoe ^_^), multishot for lots of damage (and aoe ^_^), bola shot for decent aoe primary damage and finally impale for max single target dps.

Kite with entangling shots/frost arrow. In the meantime lay traps to stun them. If it gets hot hit smokescreen and repeat. If you run out of discipline hit preparation. Use impale to stun targets if you dont have enough discipline left to get some breathing and use it to finish off the last elite.

Entangling Shot with Bounty Hunter restores that vital health during battles, whilst keeping enemies slow. Use Rapid Fire to mow down single targets and Spike Traps to take down groups. Vault and SS away from danger when appropriate and use Preperation to restore Discipline when low. Sorted

The crit build up from your passive makes it so that you can crit with all of your cluster grenades at once. Make sure your attack speed is about 1.6 or higher. Build your hatred back up to full with grenades (Either 6 hatred gen or fire bomb, I prefer fire bomb)
Use other skills when things go bad

Keep enemies Marked for Death for Hatred loss mitigation.
Use Ball Lightning as primary attack because its cheap and does multiple attacks on multiple targets.
Fill Caltrop AoE with Spike Traps for elites.
Evasive Fire for when you’re out of Hatred and Shadow power when you’re low on health.

This build focuses on great DPS + ultra high hatred regeneration without abandoning survivability of the demon hunter. FYI, enabling elective mode in Options menu, lets you to have more than one skill from each category, this option lets you to have more freedom to experiment with.

Marked for Death + Nether Tentacle spam should give you incredible single target damage + moderate to high AoE. Traps with Jagged Spikes does a serious amount of damage and allows great kiting. Smoke Screen & Preparation are absolutely invaluable.

Kiting is key in this build. Switching out Backup Plan with Battle Scars can be useful at times. Switching Cluster Loaded for Bear with Cluster Cluster Bombs is nice because Cluster Bombs is the highest damage attack you have if you can get close enough. Use 2-hand Crossbow.

This builds gives you a lot of control over enemies and makes you able to avoid damage so you can focus your itemization on DPS. Caltrop and put Spike near you. When they get too close you vault, rinse and repeat. Chakram gives you a lot of DPS in groups and Spike trap kills boss fast.

Simultaneously place Caltrops(5) and Valley of Death. Lure pack of monsters into Caltrops then use Rain of Vengeance. This will stun them in the location and allow you to unleash a volley of Nether Tentacles. With Cull the Weak and Sharpshooter the monsters will take significant amounts of damage.

This is my mod of a popular build. Use nether tentacles+stampede. Pushes enemies back into the tentacles dealing even more damage. Use entangling shot for hatred +6 and smokescreen and caltrops for kiting. Lastly preparation for more kiting when things go longer than expected.

Build Uses 14yard Bola Blasts and MultiShot combined with Increased Critical Hit/Damage passives to thin the herd on the first shot. Damaging/slowing Caltrops do continual damage to close or chasing enemies to soften them up for rapidfire/bola kill. Pet boar strike radius adds to multi damage.

Good for solo or 2 man inferno. great for single target and not bad for aoe as well. Elemental arrow with screaming skull is just win mode against yellow and blue elites, on top of stampede that knocks them back. With those 2 moves and cal trops’ immobilize, you can literally kite mobs forever.

This build focuses on crit and stun abilities. Hand crossbows go well with these abilities. You can swap Cluster Arrow with Dazzling arrow rune for Fan of knifes with Fan of Daggers rune. You can also swap Thrill of the hunt for Night stalker. I like this spec for clearing trash, but not Bosses.

I’ve used this build with good success from level 1 thru 60. Haven’t tried it yet in Inferno. Some skills come later, but for the most part, Elemental Arrow, Marked for Death and Impale are the big ones to use. The Bat companion makes it much more damaging. Lightening ball can be devastating.

This build revolves around Life on Hit. With it I can outlast barbarians in the middle of mobs in act 3, and do massive AOE. Caltrops (stacked 3 or 4 deep) and sentry add hits per second, as well as 3 gas grenades at a time with 3 second poison which also counts for hits.

You don’t need many dps abilities as a DH, two will do.Your builder is hungering as it does the most dps. Elemental arrow, Ball lightning now is the most dps you have. Shadow power for “reflect damage” mobs, the rest is easy to see why. You can switch out caltrops for bat companion for added hatred

The point of this build is to stay away from the enemy as much as possible, setting up traps for them to stumble into, and devastating those groups of enemies with Nether Tentacles. Marked for Death is handy for that one guy that just doesn’t wanna die.

You’ll fly around a lot with build. You really have to be careful when using vault on reflect damage, because they will walk in it while chasing you and you will pop. I’m currently cake walking through inferno with this build.

Ball Lighting and MfD slice normal mobs apart, Impale with stuns for single target, RoV for added AoE dps. I walked through Nightmare with no problem with this, and am having an equally easy time in Hell.

The idea is to exploit crit damage bonuses from Impale and Strafe. The latter will serve as a good way to replenish discipline via numerous crits and Nightstalker passive. Bait the Trap was not included because it requires positioning and hampers mobility, making Steady Aim difficult to maintain.

Combine Strafe, Crit, Sentry, and Shadow Power for deadly effectiveness. Mark the boss, drop Sentry, Caltrops, use Shadowpower and hit Prep. Sentry deals a lot with chain (based on your aps?) Shadow Power should keep half up time (One use per 6 seconds) Crits feed your Disc, Caltrops constant. Combine a few good synergies to attain 50% up time Shadow Power, constant Caltrops, and constant Strafe. Chain Laser (Based on your APS?) for more damage. High crit build. High damage, Slow, Life Steal and 65% reduced damage all while spinning around your turret. Boss killer set up.

Start with a Mark of Death, then Entangling Shot is your main ability, with rapid shot as a nuke/spender. If someone gets close, Fan of Knives to blow them up and stun them, then Evasive Fire to get away…rinse and repeat. Shadow Power when you can/have to.
